8 Lies That Men Always Say

There's simply no denying that there are many men all over the world who have mastered the art of lying. They tell women complete fallacies so they could get away with anything they want. Of course, there are some women out there who are a lot smarter than most of these guys give them credit for, and have actually compiled a list of the top 8 lies they've been hearing from males everywhere. From wives to girlfriends, these are the lines they would usually say in order to get off rather easily.

1. "I don't have a good signal," "My battery's dying" and "I didn't hear the phone ring." - These three lines are pretty much synonymous with, "I'm ignoring your call." They may say these things, even to their guy friends, because they don't want you to think that you're actually invading their privacy, even if you really are without knowing it. Perhaps it would be a better idea to give them their space at times.

2. "It wasn't expensive at all." - Guys have a tendency to be so interested in the latest pieces of technology, and when they're met with glares of disapproval from their female counterparts, they would whip this line out.

3. "I'm already on the way there." - So a guy just woke up and realizes that he's actually running late for a date with a woman. The next thing that pops into mind when she gives him a phone call, is this line.

4. "I'm stuck in traffic." - this is definitely one of the most convenient claims a guy can ever make to make up for the fact that he's running late for a date or an important social gathering. Even if he was caught up in work or some other legitimate reason, this would be a line he'd most likely say.

5. "I wasn't drinking a lot." - Casual drinkers may be let off that easily, but this could turn into a rather serious dilemma if left ignored. Guys with alcohol problems would usually say this in denial, despite someone's genuine concern for their health.

6. "This is going to be my last drink." - Right, like girls will believe that. This line is definitely something they'd tell their wives and girlfriends as a way of ending the conversation immediately so they can get back to drinking some more with their buddies.

7. "Your butt looks nice in those jeans, actually." - Sure, when they're being asked of an honest opinion regarding a lady's fashion sense, saying the wrong answer, even if it's being honest, will probably get them nowhere near first base, even if they've done the dirty deed several times already.

8. "I'm perfectly fine, trust me." - Men have a tendency to come up with lies that can hide their real feelings towards something, and this includes the matters which are genuinely disturbing them. They're not as emotionally open as the women, so they would say this line as a way of avoiding drama and protecting their pride.
